Dear patients,

As you have surely taken from the media, we have started vaccinating high-risk patients against COVID-19 after Easter.

The formal procedure that describes how you can get on our Waiting list for AstraZeneca is described here (AstraZeneca Waiting list). We do not offer the vaccine from  Moderna.

Regardless of the vaccine in question the following rules apply:

If you have already had a corona infection, you will not be eligible for the vaccine until 6 months have passed. Due to the disease, you already have a basic immunity, which is only reinforced by the vaccine. Administration of the vaccine before 6 months after infection carries the risk of an intensified immune reaction and thus serious, avoidable and unnecessary side effects.

For further information that will help you to assess your own age adapted risk of either beeing admitted to the ICU due to a COVID-19 infection vs. getting a clotting problem after a vaccination with the AstraZeneca-vaccine please read the information provided here

Instructions for invited patients

For those patients who have received a vaccination invitation from us by phone / SMS / e-mail or have their turn on our waiting list, the following documents for information and consent are available for download. We ask you to fill this out and bring it with you to the agreed vaccination appointment (1st and 2nd appointment). Those patients with waiting numbers that are published need to confirm their presence via e-mail.

Please inform us if you develop a fever (= temperature above 38.5 ° C) the day before the vaccination. If you have been infected with the virus in the waiting period between the invitation and the vaccination, please also inform us. Your vaccination appointment will then be postponed. Please see the documents below for more details.

Documents that you should bring prefilled with you to the vaccination:

If you have an invitation to be vaccinated with Comirnaty (BioNTech):

  • Vaccination certificate (if not available, this can be purchased at my office)

If you are  planned to be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson vaccine:

Please understand that in the event of delivery bottlenecks, the vaccination appointment must be postponed. On the other hand, we can unfortunately not allow much flexibility in scheduling. The dates for the vaccination are planned so that as few patients as possible can meet in the office. So please neither show up too early nor too late.
